Anyone who have ever try to spray corrosion and abrasion powder onto S50C (Carbon Steel) surface to prevent the carbon steel being attacked by corrosion and abrasion at the same time. The intended application is to deposit a layer of thin coating (said 500 micron or below) onto this carbon steel surface. The area to be coated are 1000 sq.ft. And the shape of the surface is seem to be like a cylinder with huge diameter (approx. 14 ft) with length of 23 ft. The thickness of the carbon steel is about 18 mm. Any constructive suggestion is most welcome. My initial intention is to coat will thermal spray in-situ as this component can not be removed due to massive follow up work such as installation of gear motor, alignment etc...
