Lincoln Stable Arc welder, 300 amp, 25 volt, FJW frame, 4 cyl. gasoline engine. Serial number D8847 (pre 1932).
My father purchased it from Pinkerton Boiler Works, Watervliet, NY about 1950.
Looking to sell this to a good home, perhaps a museum.

I thought he was looking for an electric motor not powered by a gasoline engine?

That might be the case, never hurts to ask.  I have seen old factory pictures where both motor-generators and gas powered were in use at the same time.   At the turn of the century, some plants were still running on Edison DC while others were or Westinghouse AC.
