How often is a CWI (or CAWI) required to take the J2 eye exam?

Just making sure you have it clear, you renew with only verified proof of continued use of the credentials and the eye exam paperwork performed within 7 months of every 3 year renewal.  That includes the J2, colorblindness, and regular eye information. 

The only 're-exam' is at 9 years if you don't do anything else to get renewed without retaking the Part B.  And the new one is pretty good. 

Basically, if you have one every year but at least every three years on the same date as your original when you got your CWI you will have the correct spacing.
