Its funny seeing the effective throat side of the gage haha it just looks like someone tapped it with a sander..

I wondered about this too! Are what you are inspecting automated welds, or are they manual micro-welds? (I know there are people out there that do manual work this small).

Yea I regularly inspect welds for nuclear sub applications that are done manually .015"  1F rotated
