At an engineering organizational meeting last night there was jovial interaction words heard , "underwater welding" slop weld etc. My answer was the diving concerns proposal were not the way to fly and choose weld as you would steel. Knowingly ! What I heard scared me in that I have five patents in welding , are a certified welding inspector with over twenty years experience and a chemical engineer. Such "slop welds" are the basis for career ending situations and other losses. Any questions?
