What is this ? It was made by the Rocky Mountain metal products co

edit: BTW, I have no idea what that is....I've been around steel fabrication/welding/inspection for 35 years and have never seen one of those.

Is it an electromagnet? The spinner looking thing....does it go through to the other side, like it could be used to help break the magnet off of a piece of steel?

I think it is a old dental spot welder made by the Rocky Mountain metal products company but im not sure ?

WELCOME TO THE ORIGINAL AWS WELDING FORUM!!  I have to say that because they have a new one now.  We still prefer this one.

That's a really neat looking thingy ma jigger.  Never seen one before.  Now that I have, I still don't know what it is.
