We have issued our own WPQR according to EN 15614-1, procedure is certified by Examiner and made tests at not-accredited laboratory according to ISO 17025.

We had carried out internal audit at the laboratory for personnel, instructions, procedures, calibration etc. and it satisfied us.

Just now we have one client who is asking that we had to made these test at accredited laboratory according to ISO 17025!

Would like to ask, could somebody tells more about this issue, also providing standard or other source!

Thanks in advance!

Edgar21,

I see no reference in EN ISO 15614-1 that requires the lab to be accredited in accordance with ISO 17025.
Clients often have their own set of rules and you have to check your contract. Depending on the the type of equipment the rules woudl be to fabricated in accordance with a Health and saftey standard on may or may not be verified or certified by independent third party, Notified body, AI, AIA etc.

You could for al practical requirmetns do all your own tests if it is in accordance with the standards that governs each test and is verified.

Always expect someting different when you have a new client, they may have a new WPQR requirement as per project specification.

Blame your sales person / marketing if this requirement was not clarified and added to the cost during the tender stage.
