Hello all

I would like to ask, when a welder need to re qualify,as he is qualified in 6G as per Sec IX in 2009 and we are keeping records for the continuity log(every 6 months) of him.Now one of client asking his certificates.Shall we need him to requalify as he qualified in 2009 which means 7 years ago??

You should be submitting all welder qual records to the customer, usually through their engineer, for approval.  As long as you are keeping good records there should not be a problem. 

But, a customer can always request that all welders be requalified and even that a representative of their choice, or an independent lab, witness and/or perform the testing. 

Pretty sure that is as applicable with ASME as it is D1.1.
