Dear sir,

Can you explain me, the technical reason behind, why xray is limited to lower thickness I.e below 5mm.
We know the contrast and sensitivity, we get better, but if we use good film quality like D4 and D2, and increase the expouser time in gamma ray, would we get good rt.
Pls explain exact and geniune reason why

For carbon steel, max. thickness is approximately 2.5″ for Iridium 192

Metal thickness is only limited by the strength of the x-ray tube.
