Hi everyone,
I need to qualify that SUS304(ASTM A240) welded to SS400(ASTM A36). How can i find the test reqirement, range of thickness, positon...etc, such limitation of WPS qualification ? Thanks.

e.g.
SS304 to SS304 - you can read code D1.6
SS400 to SS400 - you can read code D1.1

You need to qualify? before qualifying..find out if you have the WPS?
If you have the approved WPS, then you already have the clue of the Welding Code to use.
Once you know the Welding Code, you are able to refer to the test requirements and variables.

Maybe D1.6, I guess:neutral:

You may consult the Engineer in-charge if the specific requirement is not written in the contract document. I just wonder how the WPS prepared without prior information of the applicable Wedling Code.
