Max. Interpass Temperature for materials

Hi all,

i am gathering information to review wps (QW-406) for preheat and Interpass temperature for different P no. material as per ASME All,

I have been searching requirements of Interpass temperature for material with P No. 5A in asme section I but still could not find i. Could you help me where to find the max. interpass temperature for P. 5A material and other P No. material...

What i could find in the ASME section 1 is only interpass temperature of P. No. 10,,, appreciate your reply.

ASME provides scant information on "how to" do anything. The maximum interpass temperature is established when the WPS is qualified.

API 582 has a table of recommended max inter-pass temps. This link should work...
