Personally, though there is no link in it, this sounds more like dead end spam to me. 

It seems rather strange that they would THINK the have the ability to come up with and develop some NEW process but then they have to come to a welding forum to LEARN all about a NEW process they want to develop. 

Even if all they are doing is automating an existing process, they need to talk to the experts who designed the process and equipment in the first place. 

Just sounds a bit out of phase to me.
