Hello everybody! My name is Andrew. Live in Russia.
I was educated in Technical university by Welding technologies and construction materials
First I Worked in refinery and chemical processing plants by welding engineer. - Designed  based on specifications and standards technologies of repair and installing technological equipment, pipe lines, tanks. Made Documentation confirming the quality of the performed work.
Then i worked in inspection of welding also on refinery. I controlled and confirmed quality of work and documentation on constructions (customer supervision).
Now I started to learn English, and also want to learn technical part of language about welding in mechanical engineering, chemistry and oil processing.
If there specialists who work on it, please give me some links to specifications and standards that you use in your work.

My lang level is very low, and i trying to do without google translate so this text could be not so correct about grammar. Sorry about that :red:

Most American codes and standards are available on line for a price.

Thank you for answer Al!
May be you know code or standard numbers like that:
For example, in Russia there is GOST 32569-2013 Steel pipe technology. Requirements for design and operation of explosive and chemically dangerous production, or SP 70.13330.2012 - there are most complete requirements for steel constructions.
I search Standards of Requirements for design, installing and quality inspection of welding productions like pipe lines or steel constructions. Good and informative to learn technical terms and introduce American standards.

AWS structural codes cover nonpressurized structures: D1.1/D1.1M covers structural steel , D1.2/D1.2M covers structural aluminum, D1.5 covers bridges, etc.
AWS D14.X is a series of specifications covering machinery.
AWS D10.X is a series of recommended practices for welding pipe.
AWS D17.X is for aerospace applications.

ASME Boiler and Pressure vessel Code covers fired and unfired pressure vessels. It consists of 11 sections each addressing the requirements specific to materials, NDE, design and fabrication of pressure vessels.  B31.X cover piping systems that connect pressure vessels.
      ASME Section I Power Boilers
      ASME Section II Materials
      ASME Section V NDE
ASME Section VIII Unfired Pressure Vessels
      ASME B31.1 Power Piping
      ASME B31.3 Process Piping

API codes pipelines and facilities for transporting petrochemicals, raw or finished.

This is just a quick summary. It should provide you with a starting point for an internet search.
