Anyone ever see Titanium deteriorate in layers as shown?
Also, notice the weld just off center of the one picture.
These are titanium liners holding 10-30% phosphoric and 10-30% Chromic acids.
I assume certain alloys in the weld metal are being eaten away.
The titanium has lost nearly 50% of its original thickness of .13" in the areas shown in the pictures.
I'm unsure as to why it stopped at .7", at least for now.
Pictures are taken from several inches away with a regular camera (weld beads are approximately 3/8" or so wide)
