Hello. My name's Vincent, I'm new to the forum and wasn't sure where else to ask this. I've been practicing and studying, getting ready to begin checking out and applying to welding schools on Long Island. My question is: Is it worth paying for the Student AWS membership to access it's resources while I'm pursuing the education? Or should I refrain from it and consider this option later on, or something else? Thank you for reading.

Good Day Vincent,

WELDCOME TO THE ORIGINAL AWS WELDING FORUM!!  The Greatest Welding Forum In The World, BAR NONE.

Student memberships are well worth the money.  The discounts on publications, the magazine, access to the members only welding forum, etc.  And the networking and information cannot be beat.

He Is In Control, Have a Great Day,  Brent

It is all about networking. Most good jobs are filled by people that have established contacts with the employer. There are many jobs that are never advertised.
