If i were to become a welding robot operator what kind of qualifications do employers look for. I currently have been working with Fanuc Robot Welders for about six months at the school i go to. by the time i graduate i will have received (depending if i pass my final test) a certification from my school. NOT AWS. is there any benefit to having these credentials.

Please take a look at this thread.

As of now I'm not pursuing a job in running a robotic welder. Its just part of the curriculum and the school i am attending for Welding and manufacturing. I just want to know if not getting the "Cert" from my school would put at a disadvantage even though by the time i will graduate i will have about a years worth of experience on a robot.
