I'm not sure the actual meaning of the paragraph below.
AWS D17.1/D17.1M(2017) 5.3.2.2 The test shall be an individual eye or both eyes used together to achieve eye test requirements.

Which one is correct?
(1) Welder can freely switch between an individual eye and both eyes in the moment of vision test.
(2) Welder just can fix one state of an individual eye or both eyes in the moment of vision test.
(3) Welder shall achieve eye test requirements in each eye.
(4) Welder shall achieve eye test requirements in either eye.
.....etc
