Has anybody out there used this process?

I was on a refinery job a few years ago, and came across a couple of welders using it.
I think its a good idea in theory, and may work well in the lab, however, their repair rate on that job, if i am correct was not that low.

From what I gather this type of welding has come a long way since then and is also being recognized by ASME from my research.

Have been to that site and it had a lot of good info on the process. But what I was kind of hopeing for was that anybody on this site may have done it for themselves
