will someone please explain the various modes-spray arc, short circut, etc. of gmaw. I have a miller 172 and am curious what all these modes are,what they do, and how they are achieved. Sounds as it some are not achieveable with lower amp units such as mine. Make it simple. Thanks.

Spray can be achieved with the right gas mix and .023" wire on some of the small machines. I'm only using 75/25 on my little machine at home, so haven't done it myself, but am told it is possible.
