I'm very new to welding, and i'm car guy and need to do some welding on an intercooler, its aluminum and less than 1/8" thick. I have a small lincoln electric welder its the weldpak 100, i think it goes as high as 88 amps, Its a "gasless" welder. The intercooler with at times see as much as 25psi, so the welds need to be moderatly strong

My question is if i get the gas conversion and all the stuff to weld aluminum, will my welder be able to do it???

You would be best suited using a TIG welder for this application.
