Hi,

New to the forum. I wanted to know if there are any formula or data available for the calculation of "Seal Welds". UW-20 in ASME Sec VIII D1 mentions no reference of specific formula and neither does Appendix-UHX. As per my understanding (which is at very early stage) you do have a weld leg mentioned for the seal welds so can one apply the same formulas of strength or partial strength weld to seal welds. 

Also if any reference for calculations for seal welds in AWS kindly let me know.
