New member first post.

I just bought a Smith's welder model 25-18. I knew it was old but now it looks like it's lot older then I originally thought.  I can't find any information about it I was hoping someone here could help of point me in the right direction.I'll add a pic tomorrow.
Thanks railguy.

Wired it up today it had an old plug that I couldn't find the mate for so I changed it. It works great. I do very little welding never used a mig or tig. This is just right. The top has slot screws not Phillips so that's a good clue to its age. I can't believe there's no info on the web. I know a couple of old guys I'm going to ask.

I found it in a Smith's welding equipment catalog from 1951. It's the largest out of the 3 listed and sold for $285. I would have guessed about half that.

The photograph reminds me of a coal burning parlor stove like my grandfather had.
