hello all
if i have base material with tensile strength 1600 MPa and use welding wire stainless steel 307 si with tensile strength 650 MPa after i had finished the tension test the results i got are tensile strength = 943 MPa .
in AWS D1.1 .................  clause  4.9.3.5
it's mention that   " the tensile strength shall be no less than the minimum of the specified tensile rang of the base metal used .
so what i wanna know is that possible to get 1600 MPa tensile strength in the welding joint like that ?? and if it yes then how is that as long as i use wire with lower tensile strength ???
