Hi

I have a question, if i had a reparation in a butt joint with back plate, it joint has complete penetration, if i don´t have drawings that specified the welded joint , Code D1.1 mentions something about the maximum dimensions for this joint?, the base material thickness´ is 8 mm

At least you gave us the applicable code.

But, what process are you using?

Are you using a Prequalified WPS?

What grade of material? 

Is there a specific joint designation from Clause 3? 

Is there more to your question to make sure we are clear on your query?
