A shot in the dark,

If hypothetically one feels that your place of birth is gradually forcing you to consider alternatives due to a complete clash of values, declining opportunities because you are not represented by the majority and no future for your kids due to complete breakdown of all education standards.
Which countries can you recommend to a man that consider respect, hard work, humility, appreciation, safety, education, core biblical values as important in life?
This man would be educated, qualified, competent some experience but willing to learn and contribute a lot more to a place that can actually appreciate contribution because of its value and not becasue of the PC of its contributor.

Just wondering

God will give us guidance for everything, as long as we go to Him for directions

Daniel thrived in Babylon eh?

Not suggesting you "should" stay...  But it may be possible to be a light in a dark community/culture/region/nation.

I sometimes think the current U.S. Vice President is sort of a modern day Daniel...

For some of the reasons you mentioned above, we homeschooled our children, killed our TV for many years and did many other things to deal with the culture surrounding us.

It's a hard question you asked, but a good one.  Watch for doors opening my friend.

A wise friend put it this way to me once during hard times....  "Ask yourself every morning:  Who am I, and why am I here?"     To glorify God and to enjoy him forever...   You can do that at work, at home, in public, with friends, with coworkers, with enemies, or any other place you may be in this dirty old world.

Scott and Lawrence have given some good advice.

Remember, the good Lord places people where He wants and needs them, not necessarily where they want to be.  It is His Will we are to be walking in and His Gospel we are to spread where ever we are.

Israel went through some difficult times right after the death of Christ.  Famine, tribulation, and persecution scattered them because they had become comfortable in a Mega Church, if you will, and did not 'go into all the world'.

When God CALLS us to go to other places, He will make it clear.  We often go when not called.  He may allow it and even Bless us especially if we are truly doing our best to walk in His will and not our own.  But,  we need to do our best to listen for His still small voice and do His bidding.

Many times, as the demoniac, we are called to remain where we are and share what He has done for us instead of following our own heart even if that means being in the physical presence of the Lord.

Having said that, there are many times when God uses the pressures where we are to get our attention and move us to action.  Pray, listen, act.  He will guide you.

There are many countries with many opportunities.  The majority of us here are very opinionated, prejudiced, biased, and proud to be where we are even though we acknowledge it is not perfect.  Note that most of us did not PICK this place, God placed us here.  Would we move? Not easily.  But, if I had been born half way around the world and that was all I knew, would I move under the same conditions you speak of?  Hard to say since I have not had to live through what you have.

Our prayers are with you.

He Is In Control, Have a Great Day,  Brent

An Example: German-Russians ~ Germans who were invited by Kathryn the Great (a German) married to the Czar of Russia; to aid in the agriculture industry. The German - Russians became Russian Citizens but could not and did not become Russian. Citizenship is one thing; to be a country man/woman is another.
In contrast an immigrant of what ever country who becomes a U.S. Citizen and becomes an American. If that immigrant is a XYZ (name the country) - (hyphenated) American; they are not American, they are divided in their loyalty, principally to their country of origin and its ideals. No where else in the world can a person become a citizen and a country man/woman except in America.

The values stamped on U.S. coins spells this out - United States of America and e pluribus Unum (the  people (United States) of America; out of many one).
Liberty - equal opportunity for all; not equality - that is an European value (Socialism)
In God We Trust for our Liberty; not given or awarded by a; president, congress, king or queen or dictator (for they can take that liberty away).
The values that founded the American ideals have solid roots in Judeo-Christian writings, principles from the Bible. True they have been violated. Americans have let that happen.

No offense Max but this statement is silly and lacks understanding and insight.

I'll use your XYZ to explain why. Your statement assumes the source of the descriptor is the individual immigrant. It's not. When someone immigrates from another country and seeks naturalized citizen status they go through a long process where along that process they are given various names or titles that begins with XYZ. The final title is XYZ American but all of titles are given to them but the government agencies involved. The final agency is the census bureau where they will always be XYZ Americans'.

Take the time to talk to some. I've found they appreciate the title. That's because it's usually the only time "American" is attached to who they are. What they usually hear from us is Black, Latino, Canadian, Mexican or worse with titles that don't apply like Asian, Oriental or European. The reality is it's our government and by extension us that cuts them short from just being an American.

Your comment is not a new one. It's been around for a really long time. Through the years there have been times when specific peoples were barred from citizenship. The Chinese for example. It was us that failed them. It was us as a society that refused to recognize them as Americans. The most recent mass societal failure by us was with the west coast Japanese Americans after Pearl Harbor.

Your comment has been used for years to attract people and form opinions about the "others" to foment suspicion and diviciness among Americans. Unfortunately there is also historic precedence for a built in response when your comment is challenged that is designed to further foment diviciness, resentment and blame. Think about it.

Long term, generational Americans that apply a descriptor to identify the source of their heritage is an entirely different issue.

Faith and God has been brought up here and I can only add this. God never fails to remind me that I have enough problems of my own that to date I've failed at solving and I don't need to look for new problems to solve that are better left to him. Anyone that tries to draw me in to subjugating his wisdom for theirs is someone to avoid.

You know how we know God can move mountains? Because he gave us the shovel. Don't confuse the source of the inspiration with the hard work that needs to be done. What's the point of the inspiration if it isn't used in service?

Gents,

Thank you so much for your responses. I must admit I am pleasantly surprised, it was way more valuable than what I expected.
And you are right. I need a bit of quiet contemplation, and seeking. These things are heavy on the heart.
Take care all of you and have a great week.
