Tonight I am an electrician standing by on the generator because the power is out until 10 or 11 this evening. The pisser is the air conditioner is on a different circuit, so it is getting toasty in the house.

Actually, truth be known, my living is made by whatever people will pay me to do.

Fitter, welder, inspector, consultant, farmer, truck driver, fence builder, businessman, and these have only touched the surface of the things I do most often.

I thought I could make a living doing whatever people would pay me to do too. I auditioned for a job as a Calvin Klein underwear model, but it turns out I was too ugly and I didn't get the job. I tried to tell them that ugly people buy their underwear too, but as soon as they stopped laughing at me, they told me and my pet gerbil to get off the stage. As I turned and walked away, I heard one of the judges say, "I think we should seriously consider making our underwear dark brown." The nerve of some people.
