     I have an AWS D1.3 2018 question that I hope to get some input on. The new 2018 D1.3 now has provisions for HSS, Hollow Structural Sections. I do not see any mention of HSS diameters. The code appears to be silent in regards to minimum diameters qualified for procedure qualification or for performance qualification. I am assuming that because the code does not assign a change in diameter as an essential variable, or even mention HSS diameter at all, that it is not an issue and qualification on any diameter qualifies for all diameters for both procedures and performance. What say you?
