B2V.3

Can anyone direct me to a chart that matches what the sequence number after the period stands for?

Fourth Character (Number) is assigned to sequence , 1,2,3 Etc... to cover distinctive joint differences such as bevel angle, root opening, with backing, without backing etc...

1?
2?
3?
T2V.2 = Tee joint - Welded both sides - Double beveled groove  ( but what is the .2?)
B2V.1 = Butt Joint - Welded both sides - Single V Groove  ( but what is the .1?)
B1V.1 = Butt Joint - Welded one side - Single V groove ( but what is the .1?)

Thank you!!!!

Try MIL-22-STD from the Department of Defense Design Criteria Manual for weld joint design.....

B butt joint
2 welded both sides
V bevel or v groove
. period used for separation
3 fourth character is assigned in sequence, 1, 2, 3, etc to cover distinctive joint differences such as bevel, angle, root opening, with backing, without backing, etc.

Try to google MIL-STD-22D-Navy BMR

It's in the "Forward" section, pg 3 of 81
