Hello,
I am wondering if there is a material thickness on a PQR that can be qualified to give a WPS unlimited thickness?
Also, i cant find anywhere in IX that discusses any differences in qualifying a PQR on plate or pipe. Does it matter?
Thank you up front.

Pawndave,
You cannot achieve "unlimited thickness" with a PQR, that is applicable to welder qualification only.
A coupon 1 1/2" (38 mm) will qualify you to a max of 8" (200 mm).
QW 211 for your question on plate or pipe.
Regards,
Shane
