Just started working for a company that is trying to get NADCAP certified. I have no experience with NADCAP, D17.1, or anything else aerospace.

How to do I go about writing welding procedures?

I'm assuming all aerospace work needs to have D17.1 welding procedures written or can you use D1.1, D1.2, and D1.6 for aerospace as well?

Sorry you haven't gotten a response yet.

Aerospace can be very demanding of engineering of welding procedure specifications, especially when D17 is the governing document.

Knowing which standard applies to your work is a question for "The Engineer" or the OEM.    This will include the "Class" of weld required if D17 is involved.

Say a little more about your project and the role you play in it and I think you might get some better suggestions.

Cheers
