Just curious. Anybody ever heard of a Texas Tee ? The design drawings state "Provide extended shear tab (Texas Tee) connection where W- section joists frame into column webs". There's no detail shown and a google search rendered nothing.

Yup, full depth stiffeners in the web of a column with a shear tab extending out

I see these all the time, but I've never heard of them being referred to as a Texas Tee. The only time I've ever heard the words "Texas tee", was in the Beverly Hillbillies song, oil... that is, black gold... Texas tea.

Thanks John !
