could I say the H4 (american standard)  designation for Hydrogen Diffusibe is equivalent to H5 designation (European Standard)? Beyond the different of the number, because we have:

H4 - H5
H8 - H10
H16 - H15

Thanks

The H4 designates that there is a maximum of 4mL per 100g of deposited weld material, I'm not sure if the European standard is 5mL/100g or not...the units used in the European standard needs to be confirmed

H8 is 8mL/100g
H16 is 16mL/100g

Then I would say that the AWS standard is better for the H4 and H8, and the European standard is better for the H15.
Less H²/100g of deposited material would be better, IMHO.

Thaks for your comments, but I try to understand why the difference. I could asume they are equivalent.
