Dear All,

Actually, we've got a big issue in our methanol pipeline: after welding and placing 321H pipe under service temperature, 650 C, and service pressure, 30bar, we' ve found the KNIFE LINE ATTACK (KLA) in the fusion line.

What do you think? what is the best solution to repair it and do a treatment to prevent occurring such defect?

Thanks in advance for your valuable advice,

Cordially, HTA

HTArmaki,
what is the code of construction (COC)? What is the filler metal that was used? What was the welding process used? Did you have a WPS? Other than Methanol, what other product is in the line?
