Hello there!

I need you input for setting my pulse parameters:

The power source: Miller extreme 360 MAP Auto-Line
The wire feeder: Miller XR-Alumafeed

The base metal: 6061-T6
Filler metal: ER5356

I have to weld 1/2" rods to a HSS of 1/4" wall, since the rods are 1/2" from the cold start to the first stop, you'll guess that the road is short!

It's a TIG job I have to do with MIG, my only hope is to find a pulsed receipe and exploiting the full potential of my machine and wirefeeder...

So far i'm still far away from my objective.

If anybody can help me it would be great!

Best regards,

Thank you for your input!

It must bet a way to use these options to acheive good results, as they are so many adjustments available on these setups.

Were using a Miller 350P with a XR-Aluma-Pro Push Pull Gun (GMAW) Although we do much thicker materials.
I have seen spool guns used for thinner gage aluminum as well.

Some info.
