A new 3-day seminar is scheduled for this fall. The seminar, "Practical Welding Metallurgy", is focused on the welder, inspector, or engineer interested in advancing their professional career. This seminar will integrate traditional metallurgy and applying those principles to welding.

This seminar can be used to meet the PHD requirements for 9-year recertification. 24 PDHs are awarded after completing the seminar.

I have not taken this seminar but I did take Al's Atlas of welding procedure specifications last fall. If you can take it do it, last seminar was very instructional and very helpful and insightful in a lot of things. Not only does Al know how to teach the class well without you falling asleep but he can explain it where you want to pay attention. Another great thing about the seminar is the people that attend, you get to know their experiences and learn from them to me that was also extremely helpful.

I liked your comment regarding the interaction between the folks that attend the seminars. That is one aspect that is often overlooked. There is a lot of sharing that goes on in class and after class.

Best regards - Al
