Is the ferrite number measurement of ss316l weld overlay on carbon steel by Ferritoscope a right way to do so?
Does magnetic property of carbon steel not interfere with results of ferritoscope.

Atuuel,
it depends on what instrument you are using. The Fischer FMP30 will do what you need. You will need some Delta Ferrite parameters to gauge to.
