I saw a later video of this fellow using a sledge hammer trying to break the tack welds. Twice he swung and hit himself in the head.

It's interesting, but I was in Guatemala last week and saw a guy welding some hand rails without a welding hood. Seems to be a trend. Getting his head out is only one problem. With no eye protection I would image he will be wishing he had it about 2:00 AM. He has a grinder laying right there and since eye protection is not a concern he can just grind out his tacks.
