Hello all.

Currently working on my Master's degree project regarding laser welding in which one of the parameter is defocusing the laser beam so that focal point is not on the surface of the workpiece. I am finding it little hard to visulaize what will be the effect of defocusing the laser beam on the bead geometry and mechanical properties of welded 6061-T6 joint.

Literature availbale on web talks little about it. I am greatly thankful in advance for valuable time and responses.
