Just a heads up, I noticed the 2020 D1.1 Structural Welding Code still hasn’t revised the ASTM material specification reference for DBA’s from A496 to A1064. A496 was withdrawn in 2013, so there was no reference to A1064 in the 2015 edition of D1.1 as well.

In the “mechanical property requirement” tables of both editions, Type C states “studs shall be cold-worked deformed steel bars manufactured in conformance with specification ASTM A496...”
