I have a customer that is welding 16 ga. aluminum with the GMAW process. The welds look OK, but consistency and stability of the arc is not very good. Any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

To successfully weld 16gauge Ali I would recommend using pulse or synergic welding for consistent results

For your mig welding we have patented a new product called Portable Storage Welding Racks. This is a valuable tool for the welder. If interested please visit our site at http://www.weldingracks.com
You may email to weldingracks@hotmail.com for inquiries.
Thanks

Please see that the material is cleaned properly. Al has tendency to form oxides. There should no probs with the arc stability. Please check the machine and welding parameters.
