I need the p number for cast steel ASTM A148 Grade 105/85 to fill out weldor quals

I couldn't find that type or grade on http://pnumbers.com/ or searching for a string "105" on my online database at http://www.weldinginspectionsvcs.com/type_or_grade_string.

A later addenda of the code may have something but the C-Spec database at pnumbers.com is pretty extensive.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help but others may shed some light on this.

Hope you have a nice day

Isn't the P-number already listed on the qualified welding procedure you had to use for welder qualification? You can't qualify someone without a welding procedure.

But, if you just can't find your copy of the WPS or look it up in the qualification code, you might look up the P-number or S-number at http://www.pnumbers.com courtesy of C-Spec. They don't list an ASME IX P-number for grade 105-85, just grade 90-60.
