i have to do a basic mig weld training for the state of ar education in conjuction with a local employer.
my question to any other teachers is does any one have any training materials they could share with me
i have a couple of mig video's and some safety video's.
i also have done some over heads on the basic's of mig welding
the course is laid out in sections
weld symbols
abbreviations
safety in welding
metallurgy (very basic)
welding terms
welding fundamentals
positions
setting up and operating
gas flow and regulation
wire
joint edge prep
welding procedures
testing welds
lots of hands on welding with the actual machines at the employer's
mostly i need some things i can copy and use for hand outs.
thanks

Hi N5uzt!
Check out Ed Craig's website: http://www.weldreality.com

This place is a very good repository for GMAW facts, figures, and helpful training information. I highly recommend it!!!
Hobart Institute of Welding Technology has some very good training materials as does Miller Electric, althuogh for some reason or another, I cannot get into their website so, maybe I have a problem with my SSL security encryption or are other people experiencing the same? Lincoln Electric also... Here are their websites:

Look up Miller Electric in Google because I cannot seem to get to their website, sorry!
