Tim,
They usually do a good job for us, accurate rollings, quick turn around, etc...

Tim,
Were you able to find a source for your rolled sections?

Hi John,
Pardon me for taking so long in getting back to you about this.
Yes, I did locate a suitable forming shop, which is Brooks Welding in Birmingham, AL.
I talked to Vic at Rico Nelson and he was very helpful, but was outbid.
I had previously been dealing with White Fab in Birmingham and was looking for competitive quotes.
I found about a dozen other forming shops even closer to my location, but they were unable to roll 12" x 20.7# Channel the hard way, as I needed on this particular job.

Thanks for your help!

OOPS!
I meant to say that we went with Hardwick CO in Birmingham...

Try Brooks Welding, Valdosta, GA. They have a few different size machines, for angle, plate and beams and channels. And a very large press brake. I have never had a problem from them.

OFW,
I think Tim is talking about rolling Beams, Channels, and Angles rather than ga. sheet metal. It takes some pretty hefty equipment to roll those items to a consistant radius.

Tim,
Figure on square or rectangular tubing to wiegh more when you get it back than when you sent it. They will put "S" shapes(I beams) plus plate shims inside the tubing to keep the tubing from crushing under the rollers.
Just something else to think about,
John Wright
