student that wants to weld on some of the high priced bikes. 4130 is the material. I believe that er 70S-6 is suggested. Is any special procedures required like post weld heat. thanks firstpass

If this isn't enough, do a search for 4130 and increase the number of days to 500.

Lincoln also has good information relating to thin wall 4130. Miller probably does too.

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), based in Oshkosh, WI, also has a wealth of information about welding 4130 since its members have used tons of 4130 tubing, plate and bar stock for the fabrication of aircraft fuselages. The EAA's website is at:
