Hi,

I was looking at a TIG machine, and it had a 'Spot' adjustment dial on it. Just wondering if anyone knows the purpose for it?

Thanks,
Vicki

The "spot" control on some GTAW power sources are for relatively short duration timed welds such as "rosette" (plug/spot) welds on sheet materials.

BTW:
Rosette (not Roseanne) weld, Arkansas Bell Hole, Chinese Verticals, Pilebutt, Babybutt, etc.:
See Ron G. for the official welders definitions.
