I am trying to weld a header for a 300 I6 that would accept a turbocharger. I know exactly how it will be designed but I need to purchase a welder to do it. The tubes are made from 2" schedule 40 piping. The flange will be about .5" thick. What welder would you guys recommend? I have seen similar setups welded with TIG. Is this necessary? I want the header to look very professional. How much would the welder cost me? What kind of rod or wire would I need? If I was to do it in stainless would this change things?

Thanks
