Hi All

I need to find out what specification is UTP A776 filler. It has been given as the material for welding Hastelloy B-3, but I can find no specs on this filler material. I could not find anything from the UTP website. Either I am too stupid to find the information there, or it is a rather useless website!

At any rate, if someone has used this wire, or has a UTP catalogue, please let me know as soon as possible.

I am looking for the AWS spec and classification.

Thanks

In the UTP catalog, they classify A776 as ERNiCrMo-4, or "Hastelloy C". That is the annoying thing about UTP, is they have their own name for everything and don't seem to like using industry standards.

Hi GRoberts

Thanks for the info. Do you know by any chance if this info is available on the web somewhere? A google search did not give me anything.

Niekie,

It looks like the catalog on line is just a partial catalog as far as I can see. The page below came closest, but didn't have your specific type.

Hi

Thanks for the link. It has more info than the official UTP website, but as you pointed out, it looks like it is only a partial product catalogue.

I asked for a catalogue through the website, so I will let you know if I receive anything from them.

Thanks for the trouble.
