Anyone know of a good site where I can find out salary ranges (nationwide) for welding engineers & metallurgical engineers? Starting to job search and want to find out what i'm worth. Dont what to whore myself out and drive down everyone elses wage. Have been to several of the salary guide sites but nobody seems to have anything for welding engineers.

Thanks

Here is a sample listing for "MaterialsEngineers" in Alabama http://www.acinet.org/acinet/occ_rep.asp?soccode=172131&from=&Level=&keyword=WELDING+ENGINEER&stfips=01&x=40&y=10 . You can change the searches as you need but thesearchfor welding engineer resulted in "materials Engineer"

Hope this helps

perhaps check with universities that have welding engineering programs, like Ohio State Univ. They could probably at least give you information on typical starting salaries, but perhaps not for experienced people.

This is older data but I believe it will give you a ball park number. Check this website: http://www.ewi.org/alumni/gradsal.asp
