Hi,

I am just learning about this process and have only heard of it a few times. Is it used quite often? I notice that by searching on the web that it is used mainly on plastics but what about metals and what types of metallic applications? If there are any production people reading this, I'd just like to know what would justify your decision on using this method of joining metals? I'm just curious because I've never seen one of these machines up close and would like to know the general idea behind the process other than from a textbook. Real-world knowledge is the best way to find out about this I think. thanks very much,
