We do alot of spot & rolling seam resistance welding and tip & wheel life, or time between dressing, could use some improvement. Can only do so much with parameters and was wondering if there are certian alloys I might try out to improve life. Something alloyed with the copper to make it harder? Has anyone found a certian brand that out performs the others. Will have to check to see what brands we are using but without looking my guess is that it is the cheapest thing that our purchasing dept can find. Application is for thin walled 409 ss.

Thanks
